An authentic Police Guard Post is built inside the gallery and functions as an operating Police Post. During the gallery’s opening hours, policemen use the gallery space as their place of work. The work attempts to equalise or frustrate different systems of power, while making visible the boundaries between art and life, social power and aesthetic authority, the performer and the viewer, the observer and the observed.
